SLAM and FULL PELT Win the 59th Centomiglia of Lake Garda
SLAM and Full Pelt win once again the Centomiglia of Lake Garda this time with the British team Full Pelt, boat that has a long history of partnership with SLAM. The crew was headed by Jo Richards and Peter Alam, gold medal in Los Angeles in 1984. The event started in very harsh conditions and a strong northerly wind, which forced many of the boats registered to remain ashore. Hence this is a an even more prestigious victory in this 59th edition given the tough weather conditions.

A strong wind over 40 knots this morning has forced organizers to postpone the hour of departure, however, occurred at 9.30 am with 40 knots of wind and sun 78 vessels (over 300 members) who have decided to challenge a Lake Garda this morning particularly "bad and angry" to be recorded that a couple of boats took to the water had dismasted just before the start.

L'imbarcazione "Stelle Olimpiche" con a bordo Giulia Conti e Larissa Nevierov è giunta seconda nella sua categoria. The boat "Olympic Stars" carrying Giulia Conti and Larissa Nevierov finished second in its category.
